I am all for being organized. When you have a spouse, a bunch of kids, a dog, and two cats… you need to be organized! Being organized makes your life run so much smoother, don’t you agree? Clearissa Coward’s Command Center is a blog about organizing, redesigning, upcycling, crafting, and DIYing. In this busy world, all those things are super popular. We are all looking to make our life easier and prettier, at the same time! Let’s talk with Clearissa and see how she can help us get organized and more.
What do you blog about?
I am a lifestyle blogger who blogs about my passions. Organization, redesign, upcycling, and decorating on a dime!
How long have you been blogging? What motivated you to start?
I’ve been blogging for just over a year. I began this journey to share and to learn. Since I was following many decorating and upcycling blogs and the more I read, the more I thought… I want to do that too.
What is your favorite part of blogging?
Sharing. I love sharing my projects and new ideas I come up with or find during my research.
What is the hardest part about blogging for you?
Finding the time. With a full-time job, family, and community obligations, I sometimes find it difficult to complete my projects and write about them.
Who is your favorite blogger and why?
Wow, that’s a difficult one. As I said, I follow many bloggers and all of them have much to offer. I’ve learned something from each of them.
What do you do for fun when you aren’t blogging?
I love to upcycle and craft. Also, I love playing with my roses and plants when the weather permits. I will admit that as quiet as I like to keep it, I love movies and watching TV as well. HGTV, the DIY channel, Lifetime, and the ID channel are my favorites.
Tell us one fun fact about yourself.
I have no sense of direction. I could get lost in a paper bag if someone didn’t help me. The best invention of my lifetime, other than those that save lives, of course, is GPS.
What did you do before you began blogging? What skills do you have?
I am a project coordinator, an excellent administrative assistant, and my skills include organization, of course, and the ability to get things done. Although I am a blogger, I still hold down a regular 9 – 5 where I am coordinating and managing projects.
Have you been published anywhere else either online or in print?
Hub Pages, Moms Magazine, BlogHer, and the IBA, when it was new.
What do you hope to achieve with your blog and online presence?
I hope to become the go-to person for my followers for all things crafty. I want to help my followers live an organized life in an attractive and cozy space without spending a lot of money.
