These 5 Easy Pinterest Tips will help you grow followers and get your Pins out there!
5 Easy Pinterest Tips
Make Pinn-able Images
Pinterest likes the LONG vertical images. Take a few minutes and open up Pinterest and just look at the other images in your feed. Almost all will be super long, thin, and have great images with readable text. This is what you want too! What is the perfect image size? What I have found that works is anything that is 730 X Infinite px. The longer, the better! If it takes up more space, that is more space that others will notice. Make sure you have a Pin-It button on your blog that helps bloggers pin your content easily!
Join Group Boards
Hopefully you have joined a few group boards. There are several Facebook groups that are dedicated to just group boards. Make sure you follow the boards first and email the admin to join. These group boards should be at the end of your list of boards. You can go into your account and move boards around. Some like to alphabetize or another order. Whatever floats your boat is fine but have you Blog Board first and you Group Boards last!
Like and Follow at Least 10 People a Day
I’m saying at least 10 here, if you can do 20-30 that’s even better. You might not know but by ‘liking’ (clicking on the heart) this helps you! Pinterest keeps track of your hearts and if they see you doing this, it will only help promote your pins. Try and follow fellow Pinners that are in your same niche.
Pin Often
This is a biggie. You want to be pinning your stuff but also others. Spend a few minutes a day pinning and promote others in niche. I can spend about 10 minutes in car pool lane pick up and another 10 minutes before bed. This is what works for me but I have found that 2-3 X a day for just 10 minutes each is better.
Have a Blog Board of Just Your Content
If you don’t already, make a blog board that is first on your profile, that is JUST YOUR CONTENT. When other Pinners come to your boards they will see it and get to know you better.
