Up Up and a Bear – A Fun Travel Blog with a Unique Perspective

November 30, 2016 by Monica 2 Comments

Today we have a fun member interview with Hung Thai from Up Up and a Bear. Hung truly believes that travel is the best education and after reading his blog I might have to agree. Along with his amazing team of contributing writers, Hung travels to some pretty unique places, shares some pretty fun stories and give us some unique perspectives.

Hung’s sense of humor shines through and he describes himself as “stupid curious”. Which is why you’ll also find that he often interviews the people he meets along the way. He believes everyone has a story and he wants to hear it!

Don’t forget to ‘Pin’ me!

What do you blog about?

Our team of bloggers write about travel with a focus on unique perspectives, stories, and writing styles to make people laugh, cry, and sometimes pee their pants.

I’ve been blogging since 2015. When I was 11, my mom told me I would be the Monkey King, ruling over vast regions with legions of monkeys at my command. 2015 rolled around and I found myself without monkeys to serve my every need, so I started blogging. It’s almost the same as being a Monkey King.

Bloggers: Have you found humor in your blogging like Hung from Up Up and a Bear has?

What is your favorite part of blogging?

If I could blog without actually blogging… that would be most ideal. I also enjoy coming up with ridiculous titles and giggling endlessly on the way to work because of them. Meeting people is fun too!

What is the hardest part about blogging for you?

Blogging takes too much time. I’ve been thinking about engineering a robot to do all my blogging for me. Perhaps I’ll even sell it, for an incredible price of course.

Who is your favorite blogger and why?

My team of writers is the best, but sometimes I cheat on them by reading other people’s stuff as well. If it’s funny, I’ll read it.

What do you do for fun when you aren’t blogging?

I don’t know how to have fun anymore. Blogging has ruined my life. That’s why I continue to do it because I enjoy pain and suffering. Just kidding. Thank goodness for travel and the great outdoors.

Tell us one fun fact about yourself.

A lot of people think I’m too silly and weird. They might be onto something.

What did you do before you began blogging? What skills do you have?

I’m an engineer. I try not to let it ruin my life. My skills are vast and often useless. For example, I can spit my chewing gum into the air and catch it with ease to once again enjoy the chewy texture in my mouth. Other skills include app development and being an entrepreneur and silly stuff like that.

Have you been published anywhere else either online or in print?

My 4 books on Amazon consistently rank somewhere on the bottom in their respective categories. Oh, you think this wasn’t on purpose? Think again! Project Alpha, though, will change the world.

What do you hope to achieve with your blog and online presence?

I hope to connect with people and perhaps convince them to follow me as we plot to take over the world via travel blogs. How? I don’t know. But you want to join now, don’t you? Oh, and maybe do charitable projects like Project Alpha.
