3 Blogging Tips from Mompreneur

Now let’s get started with this week’s awesome blog. Drum roll, please…. Top 50 Noteworthy Mompreneurs to Follow of 2014 written by Nicole at Mompreneur

What makes Nicole’s blog awesome? Here are three blogging tips for you and your blog:

1. What a great theme and color scheme at Mompreneur! It’s simple yet unique and catchy. That is one thing I personally love about WordPress. The number of themes are endless. It may take you some time to find the right one for your blogging style but I can almost guarantee you will eventually find one. Find tons of free themes at WordPress Theme Directory. When you are choosing a theme look for a high rating with plenty of happy users. Also be sure to find a theme that has great support and customer service.
2. Nicole is using CommentLuv in her comment section. This is an awesome WordPress Plugin that rewards your readers by putting their last blog post at the end of their comment. There is also a form of CommentLuv for Blogger brought to you by IntenseDebate. I used this version when I was using Blogger and it worked well for me.
3. Under Contact in Mompreneur’s header you can find Nicole’s Disclosure Policy and Privacy Policy pages. Why are these important? Because it’s the law for many bloggers. The best way to find out more about these two policies is by searching Google with the terms “disclosure policy for bloggers” and “privacy policy for bloggers”. Chrissy at BloggyLaw.com has lots of info on all things legal and blogging. You can find disclosure and privacy policy generators online which are very helpful if you are like me. I am not interested in the legalities of blogging but I want to keep my blog off the fence. There are many companies that require these policies if you decide to make money with your blog.

Now let’s review these three blogging tips we can apply to our blog that Nicole applies at Mompreneur. You may notice repeats from a previous week’s tips but repetition is how we learn!
