Degrees of Maternity
Biographical Info Welcome to the life lessons of Jana Williams, the wife of a wonderful husband and mother of three awe-inspiring children who are the motivation for what you will read in her blog, Degrees of Maternity. Jana is a former Human Resources Professional with a proven record in the delivery of quality customer service and administrative support for over ten years. She worked in the educational, aircraft, oil/gas/commodities, medical, and retail industries. Her areas of expertise included call center customer support, information systems support, company policy administration, compensation, benefits administration, and virtual school instruction. After receiving both her bachelor's and master's degrees in Business Administration and working for various companies and organizations for over fifteen years, she had the opportunity to homeschool her youngest child for two years. Once her son returned to the public school system, she decided to put the knowledge she has gained as a workplace professional and mother and create Degrees of Maternity. Through this blog, Jana has combined two areas of focus that she is extremely passionate about (writing and her role as a mother). She has included helpful hints, tips, suggestions, and reflections about education, family relationships, and health and wellness...all from a mother's perspective. Furthermore, Jana’s family inspiration led her to the rewarding path of writing her first book, Playground Instruction for the Growing Adult. This book writing journey (chronicled in the “DOM Writer’s Block: A Writer’s Journey” section of her blog) started in February 2019, when she took off on The Road to Authorship. Jana trekked along that road until September 2019, when she self-published her first book. At that point, she started on a new road as a self-published author and she continues on this exhilarating journey toward pursuing her writing dreams to this very day.
