Paulo did Journalistic Coverage in Ireland!

November 1, 2014 by Sarah 2 Comments

My name is Paulo Caldeira [from Blog de Viana] and have a degree in Cultural Management and a Masters in Tourism, Innovation and Development . I am an ardent fan of creative cities and smart cities as a way of improving sustainable development. On my blog (just one of six blogs and sites that I have) will find not only information about the city of Viana do Castelo and the surrounding region as well as a personal journal with local histories.

Where are you from ?
I’m from Portugal, was born in the city of Braga (the oldest in the country) and live in Viana do Castelo (formerly one of the most important seaports of europra.

How long you have a blog ?
I have blogs for over 10 years.

What do you hope to achieve with your blog ?
My blog is now the starting point for a larger project that involves a partnership with Google and the Cultural Intitute Maxhon Web Browsers.

What is the best advice you’ve ever gotten blogs and who gave it to you ?
So far I have been most sought to give advice that need to receive them.

What do you feel are your strengths as a blogger ?
As a former journalist with 25 years experience, academic studies which continued taught me to pay attention to details that nobody gives importance in day-to-day and now I dedicate much of my time photographing sites differently from mere looking passenger.

What questions do you have about blogs / you could use some help with ?
I do not know the other members yet.

What is a fun fact about you ?
When I was in Ireland doing the journalistic coverage of EU enlargement stood next to the “masters” of portuguese journalism a reporter of a TV the middle east came to talk with us. He wanted to know more about the Portuguese experience but when I thought it would invite the “masters” for a live interview, he looked at me and said: ” you know…I like your attitude, do you give me an interview?”
