Take a Trip With Svetoslav Dimitrov – Travel Blogger

August 17, 2016 by Tina 7 Comments

Who doesn’t like great travel photography? We admire someone’s images, wish we were there, in another world…. Then we pin it to our bucket list on Pinterest. Well, that’s what I do 😉  I followed Svetoslav on Instagram after admiring his cool travel and lifestyle pics a few days ago. I didn’t realize he was going to be our next interview for the IBA 😉 Meet Svet, a Bulgarian travel blogger, and lifestyle blogger, at Svetoslav Dimitrov.

Svetoslav Dimitrov is a Bulgarian travel blogger & lifestyle blogger. He is also a new IBA member with a sweet Instagram account you must check out!

What do you blog about at Svetoslav Dimitrov?

I mainly focus on travel, but I also write about how to live a healthy and motivated life.

How long have you been blogging? What motivated you to start?

My blog has been alive for about nine months now, but I started to write articles, which I shared with my Facebook friends, 3-4 years ago. I saw there was a good deal of interest and that my articles provoked my friends’ attention, so I decided to set-up my website.

What is your favorite part of blogging?

My favorite part about blogging is meeting amazing people (like this community), sharing ideas, and contributing to projects. Hopefully, I’ll meet these amazing people in person at some point in time, somewhere around the world.

What is the hardest part about blogging for you?

As I am (still) a newcomer to the blogging scene, the most challenging thing for me at the moment is attracting traffic to my blog. However, I am very positive since I see my organic views have been on the rise.

Who is your favorite blogger and why?

My favorite travel blogger at the moment is Hung Thai from Up, Up, and a Bear. I am participating in his amazing humanitarian project – Project Alpha. Check it out and I would love if you can join too.

He has a one-of-a-kind style of writing which I find very amusing and gripping.

What do you do for fun when you aren’t blogging?

So many things!
1) I study languages – I can speak French and Spanish at an intermediate level, and I have basic Chinese, German, and Italian.
2) I work out every single day!
3) I read books. I am now exploring Henry Kissinger’s “On China”.
4) I travel and take photos which I then share on my blog 🙂
5) I adore cooking so I do that almost every day.
6) I challenge myself and see if I can get out of my comfort zone.

Tell us one fun fact about yourself.

I use Tinder to attract visitors to my blog from around the world.
Oops, did I just give you an idea to hack your growth? 🙂

What did you do before you began blogging? What skills do you have?

I graduated in International Relations and European Policies and Politics. I worked for the NGO, public, and a little bit for the private sector. I have a very diverse set of experience which have contributed to my versatile personality. Especially my experience in China. That experience largely upgraded my soft skills.

Have you been published anywhere else either online or in print?

Yes, my article about Bergamo was published (or rather quoted) in a local Italian medium.

What do you hope to achieve as a travel blogger and with your online presence?

My main goal is to give my readers something they value. I carry out extensive research for most of my articles, so I believe I am already living up to that goal.

And, of course, to have fun 🙂
