I wanted more – and here I am! I am a former healthcare career woman who stopped dreaming after two complicated pregnancies, one critically ill child, and an autoimmune struggle that left me unable to walk at just 26 years old.
I found that I had poured myself into everything except for me! And I was continuing along that path until I received a calling to mother other mothers. On the yoga mat, I met other mothers struggling; I saw myself in them and knew something must change for all of us to best thrive.
I have served the mothering community for the entirety of my own divergent mothering path. From 2010-2014, I served the March of Dimes volunteering and then working with families facing birth loss, defect, and prematurity. In 2012 and 2013, I provided grant-funded family yoga classes for high need families. And at the end of 2013, I opened my own mother’s yoga studio.
Soon after opening our studio, life brought us down another path. My wellness again fell apart as I cared for our differently-abled child – who rocks the spectrum. We closed up shop and moved to the sunshine… all the way across the country, where we have both been given the diagnoses and support to thrive! (For those who want to know what diagnoses, I am a Chronic Fatiguer, and my sweet girl has severe Sensory Processing Disorder.)
