Do you think affiliate marketing or ads are the only way to monetize your blog? Have you ever thought about using print on demand services to make an extra income with your site? Today, I am going to tell you five reasons why print on demand services might be the perfect solution for you!
Let’s get started!
I (Haley Bradley) may receive a little commission if you choose to use the company I recommend. I only recommend companies or products I have used and loved, and this does not change any price you would pay if you choose to use them. You can see our full disclosure here.
What is a Print on Demand Service?
A print on demand services produces items that you design. They might make coffee mugs, t-shirts, pillows, socks, leggings, canvas, posters, totes, phone cases, dresses, or other products for you.
5 Reasons I Love Using Print on Demand Services
1 – No Inventory
This is one of my favorite reasons to use a print on demand company! Let’s face it stocking inventory is expensive and it is hard to estimate how items will sell at any given time.
So instead of having to spend hundreds or thousands of your hard earned money maintaining inventory, the company you choose to work with will stock all that inventory for you!
2 – No Expensive Equipment to Buy or Maintain
Take for example you like to design coffee mugs, but you want to offer a dishwasher-safe cup to your readers. You cannot make a dishwasher-safe mug with a sharpie or vinyl because it will wear off. You would need a particular piece of equipment that is not cheap to purchase. And, for most us, that vast expense is just way out of our budget.
Your print on demand company purchases all that super pricey equipment for you! The company I use has $6.1 million in printing equipment and tech that they use. WOW!
Let’s not forget they have to maintain all that expensive equipment.Do you think affiliate marketing or ads are the only way to monetize your blog? Learn five reasons why print on demand services might be the perfect solution for you!Click To Tweet
3 – No Employees
I love the fact that I do not have to manage employees. That saves me so much in expenses and keeps thing so much more uncomplicated. You can then focus on designing more products and making your customers happy.
The print on demand service I use has 350 employees in 3 locations different locations (two in the USA and one in Europe).
4 – Drop Shipping
My print on demand company ships directly to the customer! By them drop shipping, it takes one more thing off my plate. Plus, my customer gets their item faster since it does not come to me first.
5 – Integrated API
This is so cool and was one of the main reasons I picked the company I use. With their API integrations, you can easily connect them to WooCommerce, Shopify, Amazon, Etsy, and so many other platforms.
Why is this so great?
Once your customer places an order, Printful takes the information from your site or sites and generates the order with all there shipping details. Plus, you don’t have to worry about entering their information wrong.
So all I have to do (once a customer places an order) is go and pay Printful for the order, and they start manufacturing the item. You can even set it up to automatically pay for it if you want. Personally, I still like to still manually pay for it just in case I need to make any changes.
