An English Mamma in Stockholm – Style, Family, and Travel Blog

March 5, 2016 by Haley Leave a Comment

Today we have an inspiring from Katharine Trigarszky of An English Mamma in Stockholm. Kat is an English mamma living in Sweden with her Swedish/Hungarian husband and their 2 sons. She loves to write about them, reflections her life, travel, and style. You will enjoy Kat’s fun take on life and following along with her.

A fun IBA member interview with An English Mamma in Stockholm!

What do you blog about on An English Mamma in Stockholm?

I blog about life in general and specifically about being an expat in Sweden, family, and travel.

How long have you been blogging? What motivated you to start?

I have been blogging since late 2009, about six months before I had our first son, O. I had a couple of blogs before because I wanted somewhere to write, but they never really got off the ground. Being pregnant, though, gave me more to write about, especially being pregnant in a country that was relatively new to me.

What is your favorite part of blogging?

The community spirit among bloggers.

What is the hardest part about blogging for you?

Finding the time!

Who is your favorite blogger and why?

Too, too many! I like Victoria McGinley and The Everywhereist in particular at the moment.

What do you do for fun when you aren’t blogging?

Run around after two boys (that certainly keeps me on my toes!), try to get to the gym and lift some weights (which reminds me, I really should go today) and enjoy a glass or two of red wine. Cheers!

Tell us one fun fact about yourself.

I’ve lived in three different capital cities but still cannot compete with my husband who has lived in five capitals on three different continents.

What did you do before you began blogging? What skills do you have?

I still do the same work now as I did before I started blogging. I work full-time as an editor. My superhero power is being able to spot a grammatical error at ten paces 😉

What do you hope to achieve with your blog and online presence?

I love having a blog as an outlet for my writing. Working full-time makes it a little hard to carve out the time sometimes, but my ultimate goal is growing my readership and providing more content for readers, such as ebooks.

Thank you Katharine for being a part of the IBA, and giving us some insight into your blog and life! Readers take a look at Katharine’s An English Mamma in Stockholm below. It’s lovely, if I do say so myself! Till next time, Haley
