Enhancing Your Social Media Impact with Twitter
First Step: Twitter Cards
Twitter moves really fast, and your tweets get buried very quickly. Twitter Cards give your tweets an edge. They enable your tweets to make a much bigger impact on your audience, even though they’re only seen for a short amount of time.
They now only add more information to your tweets, but to any tweet that includes a link to your site.
As you can see in this example, even though someone else is doing the tweeting (thanks again Echo!), any link to my site will include a Twitter Card. That card gives the title of my post, the first sentence or two, a photo from my post, and multiple links to both my Twitter profile and my site.

Scroll to the bottom of the page, read through and follow the “Five Simple Steps,” and you’re done!
Click to Tweet
If you’re a WordPress user, then you already know that there are a multitude of plugins out there that allow you endless possibilities on your site.
One such plugin gives you the ability to embed a tweet within any of your posts.
Let’s face it. We are a social society. We love sharing with each other, and as long as your are producing quality content, your readers want to share it. They want to tell their friends about it but, if you make it too difficult for them, or it is too time-consuming to figure out how to use your social sharing buttons, they won’t share a thing.
Click to Tweet makes it super easy for them and helps you promote all of your fantastic content!
You decide what goes in the tweet and then place it wherever you’d like in your post. All your readers have to do is click to tweet 🙂
Now, not only are you getting your content shared, but you’re making it super simple for your readers.
You can download the Click to Tweet plugin for your own site by either searching the WordPress plugin directory or by visiting the plugin site here:

Triberr
Finally, when it comes to Twitter, Triberr makes sharing easier than ever. If you haven’t yet heard of it, you should head on over and check it out! Like right now!
After joining “tribes,” you have the ability to share content with that particular group and they, in turn, have the potential to share yours.
As with anything blogging related, you want to make sure that you are sharing and supporting your fellow bloggers as much as possible and Triberr makes this process super simple.
All you have to do is set up your account and put in the RSS feed of your blog. From there, Triberr will pull each post that you publish on your site, and your tribe mates will have the ability to share it to Twitter.
A quick tip when it comes to Triberr:
Just joining a tribe does not mean that your content will automatically be shared by your tribe mates.
If you’re a member of multiple tribes and yet it seems as though no one is sharing your content, it may simply be because they cannot see your content. For your content to be shared with those tribe members, you have to allow it to be shown.
To do this, just log into your Triberr account, click “Account” in the top right-hand corner and then click “Settings.”
You should see multiple tabs across the upper part of your profile. Click “My Blogs” and then the blue button marked “Assign Tribes.”
These drop down menus will allow you to assign your blog to all of your tribes so that they can not only see your content but share it as well.
Using these few simple tools will not only enhance the impact of your own sharing on Twitter but will broaden the reach of your content as well.
