Today, we have another fun member interview with Ashliegh from Hey Little Sweet Thing. Ashliegh is a New Zealand self-proclaimed messy bun, K-Mart tight wearing, homeschooling mum.
On her blog, she shares the most delicious sweet treats, family fun activities and crafts for the kids, as well as her homeschooling tips. And because mumlife can get chaotic you’ll also find her sharing a mom rant here and there. Moms I know you can relate to that!

Go ahead and ‘PIN’ me for later!
Read on and let’s learn a bit more about Ashliegh!
What do you blog about?
“Hey Little Sweet Thing” is about my baking and life adventures with my three-year-old, Isabella.
My original plan was to have it just be about baking hence the “little sweet thing” reference, but life had other plans, and we found out we were expecting our first child. I took a break from blogging, and those little sweet things I was baking were replaced with a new little sweet thing- Izzy.

On our blog, you can find food recipes, my tired and frustrated mum rants as well as the crafts, activities and homeschool things we do during the week!
How long have you been blogging? What motivated you to start?
I have been blogging on and off for the last 5 years. I have loved baking and writing since I can remember, so it was a great way to combine the two things I love doing. I had just moved in with my husband-to-be, and I wasn’t working a 9-5 job as we were running a business from home, so it was a fun way to pass the time and share my baking adventures with friends and family. I also wanted to find another way to make friends who shared similar interests to me.

What is the hardest part about blogging for you?
Being consistent. There are weeks where I’m posting three times a week and others where I am only doing one. I’m currently trying to find a happy medium to help with the consistency.

Who is your favorite blogger and why?
I don’t play favorites! The blogs that I read are all my favorite for various, and I actually cannot single one out to say “this is my favorite.”
What do you do for fun when you aren’t blogging?
I have a 3-year-old who is on the go 100% of the time she is awake… I sleep for fun!
Tell us one fun fact about yourself.

What did you do before you began blogging? What skills do you have?
Before blogging, I was a University student. I’m quite good at making awkward situations even more awkward and baking cakes… that counts as a skill, right?!
